一般人不是政政系專家,所處之地可留意的、多看一會的都天天新款、層出不窮,雖現今地球話說是個村落,但民眾最稀缺的資源是時間,透徹準確了解一件事,難如登天。電影的好處,是嘗試完整地給你看到一個你不一定知道的角度,如不是拍成爛片的話。這部真人真事改編的《Brexit: The Uncivil War》不爛,Benedict Cumberbatch國內戲迷昵稱卷福,這次演其中一個倡議脫歐運動組織Vote Leave的幕後總指揮Dominic Cummings,其前線代言人為前倫敦市長Boris Johnson。戲中描述,Dom是英國公投脫歐的最大功臣,一來是他構思的口號「Take back control」深入民心;第二,他經過在酒館街頭的非正式調查發現未有固定立場的三分之一選民才是要爭取的對象,並聚焦兩大議題製造不滿與恐懼:「我們每週給歐盟三億五千萬英磅」及「土耳其將要加入歐盟」;第三,電影裡他跟資深議員「訓話」時說:「Referendums are quite literally the worst way to decide anything. They're divisive, they pretend that complex choices are simple binaries, red or blue, black or white, and we know there are more nuanced and sophisticated ways out there, to make political change and reform, not that we live in a nuanced, or political age, do we? Political discourse has become utterly moronic, thanks to the morons who run it.」因此,他要「get us cross the line in whatever way I can...we have to hack the political system」,於是他跟精於選民定位的數據公司合作,在公投日前向選民們投放了十億條定位廣告,似曾相識?是的,電影最後有字幕補充。
