菲爾柯林斯今晚在空中

「焚機」是上世紀的事情，身後是大hi-fi，面對露台外或大門前的空曠，把擴音器音量轉至可充滿整個空間的空虛，聽一首歌，一次又一次。那年代焚得最多的，焚到鄰居投訴警察上門的通常也是phil collins 的in the air tonight（MV）。昨晚在國際台的《金碟最經典》重溫了一遍，裡面有個有趣故事，幫柯林斯發行第一張個人大碟的大西洋唱片公司主席第一次聽到這歌的樣品便覺得蠻不錯，以後有新晉樂團叩門子說他們的歌怎麼好會怎麼流行一鳴驚人，主席就會播這歌給他們聽，新晉樂團通常都聽得目瞪口呆，禁不住說一句：「了不起。」

柯林斯寫這歌時正值家變，要與生了兩個孩子的妻子離婚，曲寫得很快，百分之九十九的詞也是隨之即席完成：「我也不知道這首歌是關於什麼的；我唯一能說的，這首歌裡面有很多憤怒的情緒，表現了分離的氣惱與苦澀。」憤怒隨鼓聲發洩，近年少憤怒，也沒大hi-fi，再聽有點遙遠而只感覺美好。
